Abujerra (Bouguerra) Soltani was born in
El shriah County, Wilaya of Tébessa (State). He was born in
the Algerian liberation revolution year 1954.
He studied in his hometown's elementary school, then in
primary and middle schools in the city of Tébessa, then he
went to the capital of east Algeria (Constantine) for
university and high study and got in touch with cultural
currents and approached the focal points of ideological and
political tension within the University and outside where
his cultural personality building was completed.
He had a master's degree in Arabic literature (pre-Islamic
age) and postgraduate studies in Islamic Daw'a (mission)
(College of Daw'a(mission) and media. Daw'a(mission)
department and postgraduate studies in media and he is
preparing a doctorate on (Islamic wakefulness literature),
and a second one in the economy (labour market), he taught
at the University of Constantine in the Faculty of Arts from
1980 to 1994, Assistant Professor at the University of
Prince Abdul Qadir for Islamic sciences (1990-1994) Daw'a
(mission) and media department.
His relationship with the Islamic movement
Sheikh Abujerra Soltani considered to be one of the
leaderships in the Islamic movement In Algeria.
since the end of the 1960s and early 1970s (1973).He
delivered his first Friday sermon in 1970 in Ben Badis
Middle school under the guidance of Professor Anwar Abdel
Maqsood, then became an volunteer Imam and advocate,
travelling over mosques in Algeria since 1974, has had a
special presence in Algerian East in particular since 1976,
and known as a preacher Imam. Because of this, he has
supporters and lovers in one hand , but also has enemies
,antagonisms in the other hand. He has met with the Daw'a's
(mission's) leaderships and the nation's scientists within
and outside the country and met with the late Sheikh
Mahfoudh Nahnah, in March 1982 , their relationship
strengthened , and a type of harmony in thoughts occurred
between them.
Through his sermons in mosques and his work in the
university. He leaded the advisory issues for his students
between the years 1978-1994.
Allah saved him from —assassination attempt by extremists-on
Friday, 16,September, 1994 near his house ( in Constantine),
and after being released from hospital, he instantly resumed
the mission (of Daw'a) despite of his collegues' advices who
were fearful for his life, however he returned to the
oratories in mosques, nd writing in the press.
His relationship with the world of writing and publishing
His connection with the world of writing and authoring is
back to year 1971 when his first story, entitled (The
orphans' cow)was published, to continue his compositions by
a series of books and (The Road to Allah) was the first book
including a series of books called " Islamic sheets" with
Professor Nadir Masmudi, 18 booklets were issued between
1979-1989 such as (The Religious Proof and non believers),
(Tell the female believers), (This Is The Doomsday), (The
faith of Lucifer), (The World Of The Unseen –in three
parts).., and in the 1990s a group of new books was
published explaining the Algerian crisis such as (The
Veneering Of The Conflict In Algeria), (The Roots Of The
Conflict In Algeria, (The New Algeria -Proceeding Towards
Democracy- in two parts) then a divan of poetry entitled
"Sword Of Alhajaj" , "Looks In Relationship Of Good With
Evil" ,and "Roses And Prickles " . His writings in the years
of the crisis monitoring the exact course of political
events in the Algerian arena, their historical backgrounds
and their regional and international consequences due to
method of moderation.
Jobs and positions he filled
- Imam orator (Volunteer) , and Adviser between years
1977-1994.
- A journalist and writer between 1976- 2005.
- Editor-in-Chief of “ Altadamoon (Silidarity)” Magazine
1990-1994.
- University Professor since 1980 to 1996.
- Head of the national consultative Council of the Islamic
Society movement (predecessor of MSP) between 1992-1993.
- Secretary of State (Government member) in charge of
fishing. 1996-1998, and then a Parliamentarian
representative of State (province) Tébessa.
- Minister of small and medium-sized enterprises 1998 –
2000.
- Minister of labour and social protection in 2000-2001.
- A Parliamentarian for the second time in the elections of
May 2002 as representative of Wilaya (State) of Tébessa.
- He demonstrated Strong discipline and efficiency in the
conduct of the three ministries, as observers from the media
and political actors said.
- He participated in several regional and international
meetings between the years 1987-2005.
-He was elected as the chairman of The Movement of the
Society of peace (MSP) to succeed the late Sheikh Mahfoudh
Nahnah (may Allah mercy him) in the third National
Conference of the movement on August 8, 2003.
- He is married and father of five Children.
